I was looking at one of these.

Can anyone translate this for me....

"Our Ultimate M series is compatible with all third party Arca Swiss accessories. Please find all the parts at http://shop.nodalninja.com/accessories/

What you would surely need are the nodal rail (http://shop.nodalninja.com/ultimate-m1-2-rail-210mm-f8150/) and the quick release camera mount (http://shop.nodalninja.com/arca-swiss-style-quick-release-clamp-40mm-f2100/). Do you already have a dedicated camera plate?

However, what you would miss with the PHQ1 is the repeatability in the angular intervals. A dedicated rotator featuring click stops is the core of a panoramic head, much more of the rails for the nodal point, and it represent the main difference between a panhead and a panoramic head.

Regards,"

So the Rail gives the repeat-ability? I already have a quick release. If I have the Rail on the PHQ1 or 3 it will do good Panorama photos with dedicated stops? Or do I need a Rotator as well?

If you have a pan head with degree markings on it you don't need click stops. As a matter of fact you dont need markings at all. To take effective and safe panoramas, level your head, take the left picture. STOP! Before you rotate right, note a recognizable feature of your subject at the right of your screen or viewfinder. Now rotate right until that feature is in the center of your screen or viewfinder. Shoot and repeat as necessary. Fifty percent onerlap is a bit high for panoramas, but it is acceptable and you won't have any gaps. Pan heads with stops are nice, but they are an expensive luxury.

If you have a pan head with degree markings on it ... (show quote)

I ordered a 5 way already. I am still confused which accessories I need to get Nodal point on the 5 way.
