I'm heading to Telum, Mexico in April for a wedding and would like to know if anyone has some ideas for photo shoots in the area. I plan on visiting some Mayan ruins and checking out some jungle but I'm afraid I might miss something special.
Chichen Itza is a must! I was there in December. But do remember to always ask before you take pictures of the Mayans. Some of them believe they lose their soul when taken pictures of.

I would go to Chichen Itza and Tulum. If you are interested in the Mayan sites then there are others in the areal also. See this website for tours

The whole Yucatan Peninsula is loaded with Mayan history, ruins, cenotes, jungle, etc.! Photographer's paradise! Enjoy! :)
My brother owns Villa Verde in Merida. Check him out for a really beautiful place to stay. He just bought it last year.
