Please how do you get the writing on the bottom of the picture to say hu had taken the photo thank you
I don't like seeing it there, but if you want it, click on search at the top of the page and put 'watermark' in the search box.

If you are signing or marking by hand, use a soft (F to B) art pencil with a worn (rounded) tip. It will be difficult to erase and will emboss the paper if you have a slightly soft backing (photo mat versus a clipboard; if nothing else is available, use 4-6 sheets of writing or newspaper as a backing to sign.

are you talking about the signature or a photo :?:
Hi John. Without appearing offensive. but I have seen too many really nice pictures ruined with the photographs name splatted across the bottom. It seems to be the latest gimmick on digital, just because its possible. I feel it totally distracts from the subject and if you are posting on a site such as UHH they can be secure. If you are posting on an unsecured site, or a personal web site then yes, put a watermark across them to protect the copy right, I do that on my site. If you produce a print for exhibition or for sale then personally sign the mounting board. Sorry to be grumpy but I am a bit of a traditional purist.

When I shot professionally I had a rubber stamp made. Using archival grade black ink I would stamp the back of the photo ( name, contact info, copyright notice). When matted for display I would sign the lower right corner on the mat using a #2 pencil, including a copyright symbol before the signature.
