Anyone have any examples of a macro panorama taken on a micro rail with sideways movement?

Hmmmm.

Now you've got me intrigued. Something else to try. I've never done a pano with a DSLR. I would think it would be pretty tricky to combine the pano with focus stacking.

Peter Conkerwood on the HDR forum has combined focus stacking with HDR-- but those were not macro stacks.

I was thinking just the pano, no focus stacking.

Ok. If I don't have to work this week-end, I'll give it a go.

At the beginning of this forum there is a link to an article written by Lord V.... I really wish more people would read it as it is the most informative pieces I have come across on Macro Photography.. At any rate he discusses this as he shoots high magnification macro with an mp-e 65.. Here is a sample of one of his shots using this technique.

Well, I gave it a shot. With very little PP-- basically just stitch and trim. Too tired to work on it much more.
