Mr scary legs was a challenge. I had to choose to get closer to it or miss the shot. Didnt take many shots and my hands were shaking!

No idea what spider, but was about 3-1/2" toe to toe. I used a diffuser on the flash. Sony A77 Tamron 90mm Macro 2.8, Hand held.

THIS is the 3.5-inch spider mentioned in another thread! Now I understand. I will add info to first post above. Maybe a Wolf spider?

Fab image. I'd be afraid to get too close to that. I usually capture spiders in the house and release them into my back yard.
