I am very wary of spiders and would rather find butterflies but none to be found. The red back I found caught in a web thought it was dead. I think it had been bitten by another spider as it seemed to be sedated. I used a diffuser on the flash. Sony A77 Tamron 90mm Macro 2.8, Hand held. See dragonfly and large spider on other threads.

I believe Red Backs are the Aussie version of Black Widows. I wouldn't touch it.
