I met a person who upgraded his Sony firmware, now the camera will no longer communicate correctly to his aftermarket Lenses, lots of back focus problems that cannot be corrected with internal camera adjustments.
How does he go back and reload 1.0 version. No answers from Sony.

Unfortunately, I don't believe you can go back to an earlier firmware. Try asking the question on Flickr in the Sony Camera Club forum. it's monitored by Sony representatives and you may be able to get a response. Or at least some knowledgeable answers from users. Good luck!
Call the lens producer and inform them what happened, they may have a fix
Let me Quess, It's a Sigma lens. Am I right?
No he can not roll back the update to 1.0. He will have to send it to Sony for that. Some lens makers don't have the info in their chips needed to communicate with the camera.
If it is a Sigma lens, and not over 5 years old, They will rechip the lens for free to work on your Sony camera.
Yes it's a Sigma. Sony reps were no help. I'll tell him about rechip, however, he is selling out and switching to a Canon 7D. I also told him about this site.
Sony. Now that there commitment to Minolta is over Sony may not back firmware there cams.
Sony doesn't do anything for the Sigma lens. He has to contact Sigma. They did the rechip for their lens being used on the A77&A65.
Tell him to google "rechip Sigma lens for A77" and the contact information will come up. I purchased a Sigma lens from someone who had a sony a77 and the new lens didn't work. He sold me the new $600.00 lens for $75.00 because he didn't want to deal with it. I made one phone call and they had me take the lens to a local repair shop.
Had lens back in 3 days and works perfect.
Sigma was really great about it.
