Samsung NX 20

The local photo shop is pushing the Samsung cameras. They tell me that the NX20 is equal to the Canon 1D and better than the Canon 5D Mark II. All the Samsung equipment is much cheaper than Canon. Has anyone tried the NX20? Thanks Bee

Hey Doc ..... I guess that's cause I'm a smart ass doc .....
..... sales people get paid to sell what they make the most money on, it's all about the money ..... you should know this, makes no difference what the product is .....
..... you will be hard pressed to find a Samsung user here I'm guessing, or you would have has a response by now ..... If you buy a Samsung you can be the first .....
..... look at Samsung camera resale prices, it may not be justified but they do not hold much value .....
..... you may want to search this at dpreview ..... good luck with your purchase .....

Yes, I agree with Bee. Thought this was a site that helped all levels of photographers with good supportive answers, not smart ass answers. C'mon people grow up.

The Samsung may indeed be a great camera, but I would be hesitate to purchase anything other than the tried and true mainstay brands that have been out and field tested for a long time. You have to take in consideration finding accessories for the Samsung as well as finding parts for it in the event something breaks. Not everyone on here is a comedian so don't be afraid to ask questions.

Good thought Topfin. Appreciate the sound advice. Due to the fact that my Canon 5D Mark II and L lens are so heavy I am thinking about trying the Samsung, but for now keeping all my Canon lens, etc. Thank you Bee
