It only took 5 months but I finally replaced my main camera...so the learning curve begins..Here's the first go at it from last night with the 50D.
Hockey: ISO 6400; EF 70-200 f/2.8L; 95mm; f/7.1; 1/400
Basketball: ISO 6400; 50mm f/1.4; f/2.2; 1/800

Both really great at the high ISO. You were really up tight in the action with your 50mm at court side with #2. Very nice action captures as well. Got to tell you at first glance, seeing the gold stripe I thought you were shooting the Pens. ;)

Thank you! One of the advantages of HS basketball you can get very close, keeps the reflexes sharp sometimes dodging balls.
