Opton Lens.
Hi All,I am new to this hobby, I have a Sony a200 Camera, I purchased this lens from Ebay, High Definition DSLR Pro MC AF Digital Wide Converter w/macro 0.5x55mm. looking at it, I think it must attach to another lens some how, as there are no fixings etc on the end, which is threaded. Can anyone enlighten me on this lens, and its uses. Many Thanks, Rockavon.

Hi JR1, many thanks for your reply, yes, thats it, bought it as it was a wide angled lens, it said it would fit the sony A 200, well, I might find a use for it, once I find how to switch the camera on, lol, Once again, Many thanks, from Bonnie Scotland, Rockavon.
Its a fixed convex "filter" lens made to widen the view of the lens its mounted on. It screws into the filter threads of that lens so the thread size must match. These adapter lenses typically produce quite low quality results as they are plastic as opposed to optical glass, as reflected in their low price.
Hello MT Shooter, Thanks for your reply, I see where you are coming from, do you think the Sony A200 is a decent camera for me, as a beginner. Cheers, Rockavon.
