like the composition, I think the shot is blown out.
I would do a lil post procerssing to adjust the contrast a bit.
The reflections are great.
When shootiung try to vary your point of view. perhaps a lower point of view would add a different dimension of interest.
Good start, interesting concept, keep posting

Haha it is supposed to be that way...didn't want to do the traditional black and white...used blue filter preset in LR and did a little adjusting...thaks for input....

I like it. I guess it's the blue filter that gives it a cold appearance. Good job!

The blue filter applied in a b&w image lightens the blues (in this case turned most white) giving it the intentional "blown out" look in what would be the blues. I had the advantage of seeing the original color version.

Peanut. This image the way you show it, grabs my attention (as someone else said) and holds my interest, first in looking for the real and the reflected line and realizing (by seeing the duck) that the reflection is water, ie providing context to pattern.

I think it would look good on large canvas in a fine art gallery with several other similar ones.

Very interesting. I like the position of the duck in the water. It balances the shot. :) :)

PS...i should have said this in the beginning...i was talking to my friend about this today...my desire is to be an artist first and foremost. i don't know how i know this but i know it to my soul and if i never sell a thing it won't matter as long as i am true to myself. i think today was my turning point. Those trees called to me and i knew how i wanted the image to look before i took the photo.
I knew i wanted it to be in b&w but not in the traditional sense so i used the blue filter effect.
i had limited point of views due to cars and buildings so getting what i wanted was challenging.

Good point about the duck tbrphoto . I didn't notice that until you mentioned it. Although , i didn't feel unbalanced by the image.
