Abstract Lillies

Hi
These images are the petals of a lilly. They were taken with Sigma 105mm macro and then focus stacked. the aim was to create a 3D effect using Depth of field to create the illusion. These are in the infant stages as you can imagine I have a long way to go.

Image #1= 1/60s f4 ISO 100 5 stack
Image #1= 1/60s f4 ISO 100 5 stack...

Image #2= 1/5s f4.5 ISO 100 7 stack
Image #2= 1/5s f4.5 ISO 100 7 stack...

I really like what you are trying here. I'd like to see you go a little deeper with the focus for the left side of the petals. It will still go soft on the right with it all OOF. It would juxtapose both the focused elements and the color. Maybe keep your movements the same, and triple the number of images?

Thanks for your comments. I'll try out what you said as this is all a learning curve for me . I just amazed what you can do with DOF.
