Nice composition. The photo has an old time look to it. Kind of like those old wet plate photos of the 1800's. Thanks for sharing.

had to use jpeg version and cropped it a bit

Thanks for the download Howlynn. :thumbup: Lots of detail in that bark, great subject for b&w. I think I prefer the un-cropped version tho'.

thanks FarmerJim, their are thousands of these junipers where I live southern Colorado front range. I like to take the full tree also. Go hiking quite often will try and get some better shots. They look good in color also when it's sunny, which is usually the case. Will post some color versions. You can always go from color to B & W, a little hard to go the other way.

:thumbup: Look forward to seeing them. I find that going from colour to b/w you must increase contrast a bit to give a little punch but that's just my POV :)
