oh my lord im terrified of the littlest spider, where in the hell as this taken? lol fantastic shots
That was taken right outside our livingroom window here in central Texas. It lived there for a couple weeks. I would even feed it. Then it disappeared. I think wifey did it but won't admit to it.
my lord, do they ever come inside? i would have killed it on the 1st day, it would have taken awhile to build up the courage but no way could i go to bed knowing that was outside my window, lol
ha ha, Aethel. There is probably no comforting you in regards to spiders. These are outdoor spiders and only attack people when they sense fear in you. Ohhh just kidding. I've heard of them to be called garden spiders because they like to hang out there...not indoors.

yes no comforting mt AT ALL! im hysterical when i see anything big. i wasen't too bad with the roaches in las vegas but had none inside. im from ireland and we have nothing big there. but i lived in vegas for 5 years and im now in alaska and there is nothing to worry about here, well except moose and bear but i only hope to see them for photos (well ive seen moose already & photographed) glad your not scared, it is a good photo tho :)
What you didn't plan (the sweet face in the background) is what makes this shot fit into the 'art' category rather than just photography. I good lesson for all of us amatuers.
Aethel,
Please be aware that due to perspective of the somewhat macro shot the spider seems a lot bigger than it really is (2.5 inches incl. legs). But I'm sure it's still quite capable of dragging a small person up into the trees. ♥ :) ♥
