Do you think she'll open her own studio with shots of zoo visitors doing stupid people tricks?

Not a bad taste in lenses though.

In the food service industry, I believe that's called "staging a meal".

She was probably curious about the sound of the camera firing, and not having anything else to pick it up with decided to carry it in her mouth! I'm guessing that it will probably not be repairable when it's recovered either.
Interesting how curious lions can be; we have had them chew tyres off our vehicle, nose around in a tent and on one memorable occasion carry off a pack hanging from the side of the game bakkie we were in. None of this behaviour was agressive, probably an example of exaggerated feline curiosity.
Fun loving creatures!

Those shots are from Ed Hetherington Photography. He has a facebook page. From that shot he got a gig from National Geographic. It's (in my opinion) the best Photography site for African Pictures on Facebook. Check it out, he has some absolutely great shots.

I saw that wonderful video. He had baited the lion with some meat, went to his hiding place where he had the video camera running and the lion sort of ignored the meat and took the camera he had left behind! A fabulous video!

As I said when I saw it: That lion will probably get better pics with that Canon by chewing on it than I could ever dream of getting with mine!

It's pretty common nowadays. Animals get to see so many photographers at work, they are bound to pick it up eventually. I mean heck... where do you think the term 'Chimping' comes from?

This is from a series that was posted to Fred Miranda in May last year. The bear was OK until it realised it was being photographed with a Nikon, which made it seriously pissed.

Oh.....I think he was just getting in a few shots of the photographer to show the family what the guy looked like before he was made into a meal!

If she happens to eat the camera.....don't think I'd want to wait around to recover the card...
