Is this a full frame camera? and would this be a good upgrade from my Xti? my xti has no live view. And no video. these are the main reasons for an upgrade. Was looking at the t4i but reviews have scared me off that. would also consider the t31. but the main Q is the 60d. I'm not finding any thing on if its full frame or croped like my xti.
Thanks for all the help!!!

From Canon:
"It features an improved APS-C sized 18.0 Megapixel CMOS sensor for tremendous images"

APS-C =Cropped sensor

The 6D is full frame.

You will need EF lenses to go full -frame.
EF-s lenses will not work.

I believe the 6D is the least expensive Canon FF, next up are the mid-priced 5D models.

LaughBrian,

I went from a XS (1yr) to a 60D (18mo) to the 6D (Christmas gift from wife).
The cameras went from ebay used, to Costco sale price with rebate to slightly discount with Kit (EF 24-105 f4 L) not really a kit lens!
But I am more convenced than ever that the transition or upgrade was worth it.
The 60D build quality, ISO and Shutter Speed range is a nice upgrade.
Enjoy what ever you get I loved my 60D and love my new 6D even more. Oh and the wife inherited the 60D!

You started with a 60D and ended with a Rebel.
What is it that you are wanting and what kind of shooting are you wanting to do?

I upgraded from the Rebel xt to t3i last year and am very pleased with it. I especially like the articulated display.

I upgraded from the XTi to the 60D and love the 60D. The picture quality is so much better. I've had my 60D for two years now, and it is not that much more expensive than the t4i and I love the 18-135 lens that came with it.

I would look on craigslist or ebay for a 60d. I ADORE mine. Had the t3i but wanted the heavier/stronger body and more FPS. Consider magic lantern...it is AMAZING!!! I have so much fun with the intervelometer and it auto restarts the filming at the 11-12 min *when camera auto stops. Offers an amazing in screen digital focus window among other nifty things. Good for t2i, t3i, 60d.
