This covered bridge is on the Kenai Peninuslar in Alaska and is one of those slides I lost over 50 years ago, but recently recovered... Time period is probably '53 or '54.... It is no longer there....

I knew we were going up to New Hampshire so I researched where to find some of the remaining bridges. They really are cool. Hope you enjoy them

Great shots.....Thanx for posting them. I read somewhere ,that they are insuring some of these bridges so that they can be rebuilt in case of a disaster. I saw where one collapsed in the floods about a month ago and wasn't insured......gone forever.
The Bath Bridge (the first, second and last photos) is one of the oldest in the country and is still open to traffic. I drove over it and it was more solid than the Tapan Zee Bridge. It was really cool seeing something that old still in great shape.

That's a great memento of the past. Where on the Kenai is that road? I've roamed around the Kenai quite a bit in the early '70s. Thanks for sharing.
