I am using the HDR tool that is part of Canon's DPP, uses 3 exposures.
What other tools are available?
Love the falling down house.

Hi Griz. There are a number of free programs you can try for HDR, such as:
Luminance HDR
Picturnaut
FDRTools Basic.
Some you can use on a trial basis, and if you like it, you purchase the program. There are actually many programs that have HDR as an adjustment or effect. If you google, you will see a lot of information on the available software.
Good luck. BTW, I like your second picture.

Thanks, I will look into those programs.

I think the quality is good on #2, but I would remove that can from the window and try some other angles for a better composition.
No2 is a great picture. Makes me think of the person who lovingly constructed that old house and the labour involved. I bet it could tell a story or two.
Wish houses could really talk!

I edited out the can, as for different angles it was 30 below zero that day and I wasn't up to venturing too far from my vehicle. Perhaps in a month or so I will venture out that way again and try some more shots, hopefully after a fresh snow to cover some tracks...
