Welcome to the wild side. Love my D7000. I use the Auto Continuous Focusing Mode in the custom settings for macro. Also has the feature of only firing when in focus when your using manual focus. All kind of neat things. I used kenrockwell.com to learn all about the menus and focusing modes and how to locate them. Just type in D7000 in His search engine. If any questions please drop me a line. Would be glad to help. Forgot to include this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-4jUXryI8Jk Just if you wanted to check this out. Neat feature of the D7000. Sorry if I keep blabbering on.. Can't say enough good things about the camera.

Tom, I also have a Nikon D7000. I've owned a lot of cameras: a few Canons, and a few Nikons. My Nikon D300 was great, but this D7000 is the best camera I have ever owned. You are going to love it!
