The temperatures during the last full week in January was a real ice-maker on ponds and small lakes in PA. Then Jan. 25th and 26th teased us with late April temps... which caused a half-inch or so of water to offer stellar reflections of standing geese and ducks. Here, a group of Tundra Swans enjoy their mirror-look.
As a layer of wispy fog gathered in late afternoon near the far shore of this small lake, thus muting the reflections of the far shore trees, the geese stood like silent sentinels at the edge of a reflection pool.
