They can store a million terabytes of video per day??

Big brother is definitely capable of watching now.

Just like watching the stuff on "Person of Interest." Sad. It really has no place in the world except to remove "privacy" from the dictionary; perhaps it will be usefull to show us how it all will end, in real time. Maybe a group shot of everyone giving it the finger?

I have often wondered why this is not used in the war zone to save lives from roadside bombs, ambushes, and other military uses. I never understood how with this technology why we don't know someone is planting a bomb beside a rode or group of say 100 are gathering to attack a military base or supply column.

how do you know it isn't?

this is what drones do. of course if the mine is buried it cannot be seen. usually pick up the guys planting the mine and take action at that moment. trouble is that there are only so many drones and and too many bad people.
