V good pic CocoaRoger along with the stars as well did you manage to get anymore shots off before it dissapeared?

No, I had planned on changing lenses and use my telephoto for stage separation and had it all planned out except for one thing. I had the lens on a table next to me but didn't think ahead of time of knowing where the spot was to line it up to lock onto the camera body and in the dark I couldn't get it locked on in time.

When I read the first post of what you planned - I thought it would be interesting to see the results
I could not imagine what these would be apart from maybe a spec in the distance
Wow - what an image you have - superb camera work and planning
Thanks for posting

In comparison to your backyard, mine is boring. :)
Good shooting
Oh how stunning! The treeline silouette lends nicely to the composition.
I think that's a pretty awesome picture, nicely done.

Hang on a minute..Is this not the same photo you posted on 30th..or am I getting confused here..
WOW! Great shot! Espically for a first attempt. Did you try any during the Shuttle launches? I've attacjed one from my backyard too. Only my back yard is in Zephyrhills Florida on the other side of the state! This is an afternoon Shuttle launch in 2009.
I moved here in time for the last three shuttle launches but they were all day launches.
Now thats something Ive have never seen before. Great photograph.
