Bozsik to the beach.

I had the opportunity to head out to the coast for Monday and Tuesday. A friend photographer and I thought we would just shoot for fun. Of course, I always shoot for fun. The images are from Ano Nuevo State Park and Moss Landing State Reserve.
I had to say I am a it jealous, but he let me slap one of my camera bodies on his 600mm f4 to get some of the otter shots and the shorebirds. What a gorgeous, if not inconvenient lens to use at times. I did get to play some more with my new 16-35 while on the beach. I wish I had more than a day for these shots. There was so much more to shoot. Hope you enjoy.
Wow! These are absolutely beautiful! Love every one. I think my favorite is the next to the last with the rocks. It's a lovely photo.

This series gets better and better as you scroll down. My fave is the one under the nagging photo. SO dramatic!
I like the sun set at the beach. Great set.mdh

I shot that just prior to the sun setting. I like the wet texture to the rocks and sand. Thanks.

I took many images to get the one that is shown here. I was bracketing and changing f/stops as fast as I could in order to get a large selection before the sun set. I love shooting at sunset, but for me it is a game of planning where and when to shoot and move ahead of time. You only have a couple of minutes to get the sun close to the horizon, so advanced planning is the key.
We arrived only 15 minutes before the sun set, so I could only wrap my head around the series I got. I had the large lens farther up shore to get the sun going down while I was down on the beach obtaining the wide angle shots... paying attention to not cut myself short on the actual sunset with that long lens. I think I am getting too old for this running around on the beach, thing.
Glad you enjoyed them

Thank you. Wish the visit had been another couple of days. Just grab what you can.
What a great set, Bozsik. I admire your ability to focus and get so much done in such a short time. I really like the rocks on the beach--worthy of OP magazine
