Might I suggest that you use a CPL filter for more contrast.

Yes of course also a ND filter will do, but it does not change the Philosofical though. Don't you?

Thanks ecobin: For the suggestion, you are certainly right, however Nikon sensor are enought dinamic to made sky and sun details visible.
Here and example : Whitout CPL
