Fire in Southeast Baltimore takes the life of a 10 yr old girl

This was about 2 blocks from my home. The sirens, which we regularly hear due to our proximity to a hospital, at first, didn't seem unusual. But then they continued, for what seemed like 20 minutes straight. That's when I looked outside and saw the flames and smoke in the sky.

Shame a child had to perish. I have family in the Dundalk area.

Very sad photographs, brings back horrible memories from 3 years ago when My Dell laptop caught fire an destroyed my home. I was fortunate and despite being stupid enough to go back to try put the fire out, I was pulled out with just smoke inhalation. I have a degree in fire science and should have known better, but is so sad that a 10 year old suffered this awful fate. God bless them, Ian

Sorry to hear about the little girl's passing. Always terrible when someone perishes as it is harder on the personnel when a child is involved as some have their own children too.
