i watched as a goodly portion of the herd came through tonight. The little "fawnette" was not with them.
But i think upon closer examination the younger buck that we were concerned about earlier in the season has now dropped what he had as antlers. If you recall he had the one antler projected forward over his face.
When he came in i noticed he was raw in the plate and i noticed a good sized bump. This to me indicated he will and does have a deformed plate and the antler will regrow the same this season.

Wonderful pictures, the deer sure have a nice place to stay out there at your place. Also where did you get the frames from, they add a nice touch to the picutres. Keep the nice shots coming, I never get bored with these animals.

Beautiful deer photos...like always, Marilyn. And they always look so pretty in the snow. So you decided against posting the x-rated photo..... :-D
