Yellowstone Photo Seminar

I have had several UHH members contact me regarding a photo seminar in Yellowstone Park in September.
I have agreed to schedule a 3 day seminar then providing we have a commitment from a full group of 6 attendees.
Dates are open at the moment and will be scheduled based on your needs and availability as I am pretty much open. Most of my seminars are camping trips, but because many local and park campgrounds start their closures right after Labor Day a local motel base may be the best option. Plus night time temps can reach single digits there in the fall.
I would invite anyone seriously interested in attending to PM me so we can see if this can be put together.
For accomodations I could reserve rooms in advance with advance payment and we all could stay as a group somewhere, that might be the best, but that is open also.

Sounds good to me.
I don't need luxury accommodations. Bed and a shower. :)

Are you going to set an upper limit of attendees?

Yea, this could get crowded.
Yellowstone is on the top of my wife's 'want to go' list. Hummmm.

Will this be mostly classroom time, or will there be an opportunity to actually get into the park? Will there be a test? A Certificate of Completion? A prize for the one who does best? Can we attend if we don't have a pair of D800s? :D

I need a full group of 6 to schedule a group. No classroom time at all, I expect everyone to know how to use the gear they bring with them (even Canons....LOL). This will be 3 days IN the Park. If there is enough interest I could arrange 2 groups, and I still have not accepted any clients for an August seminar as of yet. June and July are full already though. Your certificate of completion will be the images you bring home with you!

Hoggers, take advantage of MT Shooters offer!! Shooting in Sept is SPECTACULAR. Animals are in the RUT and colors are too vibrant to believe. I go down there every year during Sept & Oct., it's a ball!! I'll be there at this time next week.

Ciao, Robin

My wife and I are thinking of taking a trip to Yellowstone in February 2014 and staying at Mammoth for about a week. Will this trip have an opportunity for great photos assuming the nut behind the view finder does it correctly. Then head north to Big Sky for down hill skiing. We will be driving a 4x4 pickup. Any suggestions with respect to Yellowstone?
