With with kind of understanding of simple math what's the use of trying to explain, but here goes.
Note the use of per capita.
The per capita mortality from handguns in the USA is 4.6 times that of its closest contender, Israel; 23 times that of Canada, and 265 times that of Great Britain. Are Americans 23 times as homicidal by nature as Canadians, or 265 times as homicidal as Brits? Of course not. The factor that differentiates these societies is that handguns are very strictly regulated (and generally unavailable to civilians) in both Canada and Great Britain, whereas they are easily available in the USA.

Handguns are strictly regulated or banned in other nations who have high or higher gun related homicides than than US, such as Mexico, South Africa, and Brazil. How do you factor these inconsistencies into your simple and false logic?

Where did you get your quoted figures from? 8-)

There's no false logic only people who have the inability to understand simple concepts. South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Columbia and the Phillippines have much higher total homicide rates by all means. Do you compare their societies with the US? How the mighty have fallen.

Your contention was: "The factor that differentiates these societies is that handguns are very strictly regulated (and generally unavailable to civilians) in both Canada and Great Britain, whereas they are easily available in the USA."

Easily understandable, you are stating that the differentiating factor is strictly regulated or banned handguns, as it relates to gun homicide rate. Well then, handguns are strictly regulated or banned in other nations who have high or higher gun related homicides than than US, such as Mexico, South Africa, and Brazil. How do you factor these inconsistencies into your simple and false logic?

Oh, and where did you get your statistics from? 8-)
