We recently took a trip to Tarpon Springs, Florida. It's a quaint Greek village known for sponge diving on the west coast of Florida. There are authentic Greek restaurants and bakeries. Numerous shops selling, yes, sponges. I didn't know there are so many varieties of sponges, some quite expensive for a sponge. Come with me now and visit Tarpon Springs.

It is beautiful. According to the Tee-shirt I saw it's "A quaint drinking village with a fishing problem!"

Good set.

Nice. Tarpon Springs rivals Astoria, NY for Greek capital of the US. Number four cracked me up too- I read it as "handmade SOUP" - nearly dropped my iPad laughing before it realized I had read it wrong. Maybe power of suggestion following your picture of that beautiful diner all decked out in Greek blue and the Greek key.

Yes HEART, there are sponges for cleaning, sponges for bathing, sponges for painting... there's a sponge for everything. Glad you enjoyed my photos.
