I am posting these for C&C. Shot using a Sigma 120-300mm f2.8 lens at 300mm f4.0. It is a cloudy, snowy overcast day.

I really would like your true opinions.

Thanks. That seems to be the feeder they prefer. I can get them in fairly regular here.

I just got this lens this morning and these are the first shots with it.

Thank you. This lens is still in the "testing" stage. I wish I could find some sun. Might get some sun Thursday. They are not calling for a full sunny day till a week and a half from now.

Nice shots! I felt the light colors were just on the verge of blow out, in that case you can work on saturation in post. I have similar lens and I have to drop my EV back 2/3 for it and on sunny days I have to use an ND4 minimum it just seems to pull in light. I think both shots are very nice, enjoy playing with the new toy.

This was shot using my 7D camera. If you had looked at the exif file you may have noticed this is set to a setting of Exposure Bias Value = +0.33EV. If I set this to 0 it blows the highlights right out of the water. This is something everyone needs to figure out for their own cameras. Different cameras and lens combinations require different settings. I am going to have to do some playing with this combo and see what it likes.

Off hand I forget what I did in the pp for this photo but will go back and see. Thanks for the reminder, and thanks for the compliment!
