Hi Jacquie.. if you are talking about your avatar, go to your profile and upload it from there.
For the female portrait, always think 'angle' Have the model turned away from you from 30 to 45 degree. The head also at an angle, this will be limited by the personality and age of the person.

For groups... watch out for the hands!!! Fig leave, arms all the same, all holding someone else elbow are no-nos, find your own style there (avoid military rest or parade stance). Classic feet pointed does not really work, you can seriously improve on that.

Weddings
Go to the place one day in advance to get an idea of the surrounding, meet the priest or manager, get their cooperation and learn if there is another party going on.
CHECK THE WEATHER IN ADVANCE!!!!
Folks taking pictures with their own cameras? It never should be a problem, they add something you cannot give and may capture moments you will not be able to see.
Boy/girl/boy/girl is boring vary the setting. Also vary the height, some on stairs some not, if not stairs, find another solution that will not soil their clothes.
When dealing with 'large folks, and a group of those, do not, do not take them full on or even side by side unless couples. Use the angle technique, the height technique and your vantage.
I had a wedding in VA where all 18 of the wedding party where all obese (thanks, Sam, I have a wedding for you my partner said). I set them up sitting on a lawn and shot from the second floor. I had four referral from that event.
Be inventive w/o being nut and always make sure that every individual appears its best. (Hard to do when the best man is already drunk or the bride is upset because some kid has already tasted the wedding cake...)
OH, make sure you are paid 2/3 in advance and the rest on delivery... I have had two couples coming back from their honeymoon with divorce papers....
Thanks English Wolf-The Wedding you described would be a nightmare. I pray I never get a Drunk Groom.
Thanks Rocco, this is habbit forming. My husband had to fix his own lunch and now it's almost time for Dinner.
