This is my best carving I have every done in my eyes. I did this one for Janny and gave it to her on our 30th wedding anniversary. You were lucky to see this one. She lets no one touch it.:):) Not even me. She put it down, I shot it and it was gone.:) This piece is out of Teak wood. And it took me 4 try's and about 80 hours to get one I liked.

For got to add, this is one piece of wood.

Thank you AuntieM! We all have little tricks to do things. :) Just like with my camera. There are things I have learned how to do to get the picture.:)

[quote=Erv]Thanks Richard!! What all do you carve? I have a piece of wood that has a Butterfly in it. Just have to get to it. Janny has already said she is not painting that one.:)
Erv

Yours are smaller than what I carve. My hands can only do Decorative Decoys for competition and half sized birds.

Oh my gosh, Erv, this is soooo excellent! I don't blame Janny for not letting you or anyone touch it! How many years have you been married now?

I love doing Ducks. But mine are pretty primitive looking. I don't get into to much details one them. But I like doing them. I posted a few on the site a week or so ago.
