My First DSLR shots

I finally took the plunge after a lot of encouragement from the members here and after narrowing my choice down to 2, I have bought a Nikon D3100 with 2 lenses.
I have also attended a PP course at local college, day 1 completed and was given the task to produce a self portrait without me in the shot.
I have posted my results below.
