The talent on this forum is spectacular but for those of us still pussy footing around the bottom rung you no idea the sense of simple achievement when you finally manage to capture something worth sharing which was not shot on "Auto" - I'm sure there will be a zillion things I could have done better - and please feel free to comment - but I'm still chuffed that they are reasonably sharp:-)
Such focus and exuberance!
Never happier than messing about in the water
That was deeper than anticipated!
Sheenagh & The Calacarey Crew! I think those are great!!! I myself am just learning and struggling badly with those action shots and I know exactly what you mean about not using the "Auto" setting. Kudos to you and what an inspirations for those of us who are striving to get there.
Keep up the good work!!! Give yourself a big pat on the back :)
Debbie
Thank you Debbie! I long for the day when I can quickly adjust settings without thinking about it and really understanding why something worked as opposed to just getting lucky! I see from your avatar that you also have a beautiful canine - hope he/she is a poser for you:0)
First shot should be a cover shot for WET DOG MONTHLY!
submit that to the dog magazines.
Fabulous catch!
like them both, very good. thanks for sharing.
Very nice action shots. Love #1. I assume that "chuffed" means happy.
Thank you! Yes "chuffed" in a quaint little english expression, whose origin I wouldn't have a clue!

I know EXACTLY what you mean about being able to just set without thinking about it :) I still have a LONG way to go.
Those are truly wonderful and you did a fantastic job!!! I have two dogs that I love to photograph and I also take photo's of dogs from the canine dog obedience school that my two dogs and I attend (on and off) so I have my share of dogs to practice with, which I Love doing. I'm not anywhere close to where I would like to be with getting those great action shots, but practice is becoming my middle name :)
Keep up the great work and can't wait to see more!!!
Debbie
Those are Great Fun and you should be pround of them.
Very nice shots, looks like a very sweet dog!!!
Would you mind sharing your settings, lens, etc...for us poor strugglers with those action shots you have captured wonderfully :) I can use as much help as possible :)

These are awesome! You did great! all three are very sharp! And you have a great subject. I can't even get mind to go into the water!
Great set of shots!
You did very well...sharp and and you stopped the action very nicely.
beautiful capture especially like the action in #1
Really? a "Zillion"? These are done very well. Good action. Dogs don't pose and no chance for "do-overs". Love #1 especially.
