I went out last night to get a few shots of the full moon rising over the hills, but the clouds obscured it just enough to make the shot pretty much worthless, so I turned around and shot the sunset instead. I think it was worth the trip.
Unedited original
After crop and minor edit (I enhanced the blacks)
Nice, glad you watched you back, sometimes I forget and miss shots.

Nice capture. Like the edited version. Thanks for the post.
Diffidently not a waste of time. Well done.
Nice capture .Great how you use the tree to show depth. The cropped picture is a lot more appealing. Thanks for the lesson.
Nice as always MT. Thanks for posting the 'downloads', this helps me while I'm learning settings and equip. I see that you took these with the Sigma 70-200 2.8. Looking to buy a lens in this range and seeing results of the Sigma helps. TNmike
2nd shot is a magazine cover shot,
flawless!

It was worth the trip! An excellent shot.
crop is good, but by enhancing the black, I think you lost some red tones. I like both

:-D
Great capture. That tree silhouette really makes the shot (but then, you knew that that already :D ). I wonder how hard it would be to get that power line out of the top of the tree?
Great shots MT, edited I prefer, lesson learned
