Ok, I built a DIY soft box and this is my first attempt. I like it but I need the approval of my fellow macro experts.

I see to much light on one side and not enough on the other. Is it located at the end of the lens and pointed at the subject?

Your "scene" has a reflective leaf in the foreground, making evaluation difficult. Please try again with a flatter subject.
Also, take a photograph of your new set-up, so we may make suggestions as to softbox positioning, etc.
