Photo 2 shooting down at an intersection from the TV tower. The round raised area around is an elevated walkway for pedestrians over the street. Look at the green inside the intersection. Download photo to take a close look at this intersection.
Photo 4 this is the green shrubbery in the middle of the intersection you could see from above.

That is a long walk to get across the street. These are great. I really like the tower at night and the shrubs on the plaza.

Thanks for looking. Hard to believe how modern Shanghai and Beijing are today. I am sure this was because of the Olympics in Beijing and the World's Fair in Shanghai. What impressed me was every where I traveled signage was in both Chinese and English. Someone had actually studied flow of people in airports and it really works. Easy to get from spot to spot and find restrooms and places to eat.
