This was taken last summer at the camp. I've been trying to remove the twig from her right eye. I've tried Paint.Net and Gimp, but the results were not that good. I don't know if it's even possible. Maybe I should wait until summer and see if she'll pose for me.

Thanks, great job..Did you have to zoom in really close (down to pixels)?
I've tried the clone tool, but kept on having the eye look unnatural.

I used the spot healing tool and the clone tool. Need to zoom in very close. I also corrected the green hue and cropped a bit.

For some reason I felt this would be one solution offered.

I see Tim already cloned out the twig. My results were no better than his. I could not help but notice what appeared to be oversaturated greens. I also retouched the twig area and reduced the green and yellow saturation levels on the cat and tree bark. Hope you don't mind.

I'm going to look and see if I have "spot healing" in paint.net.

I wasn't worried about the hue just yet, because I kept on screwing up her eye. Great job, thank you.

You are welcome! Very pretty cat, by the way! And a nice shot. Knowing cats as I do, good luck in getting her to 'pose' again!!!

Tim, if "missed the point" was directed at me, I was already smiling before I opened the thread.

Wendy, I find your color correction more pleasing than mine. Spent too much time isolating and masking and not enough time checking for easier solutions. Went back and adjusted hue of whole image instead of spot saturation. I continue to learn. Thanks.

Hi Rick36203,

Thanks for the compliment, but I think the color correction should be somewhere between mine and yours!

The best thing is to do your cloning in small pieces, don't try to clone in one or two swipes, click, click.click works much better....Tim
