Captured on the north beach of Tybee Island yesterday (23 Jan). The light was bright, the temperature in the mid-60's and the Terns were cooperative.
Nikon D300, Nikkor 70-200 F2.8 VRII with TC2EIII teleconverter.
Aperture priority, f8...ISO200. Camera choose 1/1600 for the first shot and 1/1250 for the BIF. Both at 380mm.

Very nice light .... well captured. Are you staying on the ocean side, or north beach?

We are staying on the ocean side, South Beach. It appears that the Royal Terns and Black Skimmers prefer the North Beach. Only a little over a mile away.
A few more Terns attached...

One good tern deserves another! Nice job!
Beautiful shot. Did you see any Brown Pelicans? If they were wearing an orange leg band they were recued oil soaked Louisiana and Mississippi pelicans that were transplanted here and have had offspring.
