Hi, my name is Jane I go between North Carolina mountains and Orlando. I think I like the mountains the best.
I got my Cannon Eos T2i for my birthday, seems like I never had the correct lense with me that I needed. I splurged and bought a Tamron 18-270 I love it except is makes the camera really heavy. I hope to learn a lot from this site.

Love the old gas pumps. The image in black and white is wonderful. I'm new too and welcome to the site!!!!
I am new to this site also. it is funny you bought the tameron lens becuase I have a 18mm - 200mm. bought mine jsut as yours was hitting the market and didn't wait, but I love my lens. It allows me to get almost everywhere I could want to get to as far as getting closer goes.
I never go anywhere without my camera.. Unbelieveable who I look at things differently since I have my camera with me almost all the time.
I certainly agree with how you see things differently. When I retired a few years ago and moved to the Vets Home In Yountville Ca. I was fascinated with the trees. We have about 250 different varieties. All my film cameras were buried in storage so I bought a digital and carried it with me everywhere. Almost immediately I discovered that I looked at everything as subjects, calculating composition, angles, light and shadows, contrast, etc.
Janie...good job....any good lens will be heavy....Its a good work out for you!!!
Hi, I live in North Carolina & I've made the 5 mile hill trip to Ashville 3 times now. Don't care much for the uphill climb but the atmosphere is wonderful. I love the gas pumps & the mountains especially. The hummers could be a little sharper, but all in all they are very good. Amazing that the hummers are all eating together. All mine do is run each other off. Happy shooting. This is one of my little ones.
