Great Egret, Well...pretty good Egret anyway. Pic taken by Mrs. Swamp Gator

My wife Mrs. Swamp Gator, took this shot of a Great Egret yesterday and I kinda liked it.
She used her Canon 50D and my old Canon 300 f4 which she inherited.
Go easy on her, but don't be too nice to her. We don't want her getting all full of herself. :wink: :-)

Can't wait till these guys start the nesting season, This will be my first year to photograph them in full Plumage. One Question for you, Do you use a Bird Blind of some sort to get your closer shots?? Loving your sharp photos. I have the 70-300mm that's not tack sharp at 300mm so May want to change up this year to the Prime Lens 300mm. How are you getting so close??

No blinds, we pretty much just walk over and take pics of them. They don't seem to mind at all for the most part.
We get close, the alligators get close, everybody gets close. :mrgreen:

The back lighting is terrific. Great shot
