Not everybody up here in the frozen north is whining about the weather. Meet - Hap, our Portuguese Water Dog - my faithful and fun photog assistant.
Best all-weather photgog assistant everrrrrr!!!
Iced shores
NO palm trees here
The Quietest Season of the Year
BRRRRRRRRRRRR too cold for me but it looks like your friend is enjoying it
Very nice series! Really enjoyed #3!
What a beautiful shot of your dog. Love it up there and been there quite a few times. My uncle built a lot of cabins and houses on that lake. But the water is still COLD!
Lol, looks more like a Portuguese Snow and Ice Dog...
Winter really gives a chance to take some high-contrast shots. I especially like the peace and loneliness of the third and fourth shots here. Quiet and stark. Nicely done.

Like em all- at least you have open water. With the wind chill -43 Fahrenheit this morning in my part of the country. My dog did not waste any time outside this morning.
Love the last two photos, great sans palm trees.
Your assistant seems to be loving it. The high for today here in Mn is -5 below zero and more of the same tomorrow. The old bones have a hard time functioning properly in this cold any more. Nice shots.......
You can feel the chill and quietness in the photos,....and then there is Hap! What a fantastic capture of your assistant! Snow is definitely for fun and plowing head first into the drift!
Looks like someone is enjoying the snow!!

Yeah, it's a little nippy for you Southerners right now. Funny how few visitors we have in January...But, all that white stuff is pure magic for Hap!

Thank you so much Wahawk, #3 is the slow painful process of liquid working its way into ice.

Hi Vincent, thank you. He does love to pose ;). Cool that you know our beautiful lake! Do you know where your uncle built on Sebago?

Hi Treepusher - yep that is my PWD crazy-for-snow dog. When he sees me getting out my camera backpack he goes absolutely nuts with joy! Funny how the humans disappear up here this time of year!!
