Newbie here looking for some tips on youth soccer team photos. (got a job offer & I want to impress!) Here goes:
1. Should I shoot in aperture priority or manual?
2. Best f-stop/shutter speed/ISO?
3. Already set on JPEG fine.....what image size? Medium or large?
4. How far away from subject should tripod be set up?
5. At what height should tripod be set up? (eye level to subject? group?)
6. Suggestions if I have to shoot in mid-day sun?
7. Thoughts on histogram?
Thanks!

Any advice about shooting posed photos of the team and single shots of each player?
when doing team pics, do a serious one and one wear you let the kids goof off. Make sure you get a beauty pic. One where everyone has there eyes open and their uniforms looking good! Let them have fun! Remember to have a contrasting background for both pictures. Have fun!
Fully agree letting them goof off, kids love it.
I had a Lady's team take a beauty pic and and a goof off pic! They loved the good off pic so much, that is the one they wanted in the trophy case with their district championship trophy and in the yearbook!
