I got this picture of a buck using the trees as a natural picture frame.

Very nice. How fortunate for you he posed so nicely at the edge of those tree. I think you are slightly tipped to the right, though.

I get alot of deer in those trees, I guess I should have fixed it before I posted it.

What is the RULE when you are out in the wild and you get a close in shot like that, the ground often does slope some.

It looks like the young buck is standing straight and the ground slopes?

I may be tiltedd just alittle but I was free hand and wildlife photogrphy you usually don't have alot of time to worry about it.

The rule is to have the camera level no matter what the ground is doing. (unless you intend to have a tilt that is.)

He's not straight...everything in the shot (trees, deer, and ground) are tilted.

This is a strange statement...(thought I have the same problem...I'm not careful enough many times), but it doesn't take any more time to make sure the camera is level than not level..lol.
