I have no experience whatsoever with metallic prints, but have been told by a number of people that one of my photos would be great in that medium. Do any of you have recommendations for an online lab that does a good job in this area?

Everybody does them, ACI WHCC, Bay Photo, Millers, Burrell, H&H, Nichols, etc.

Red River paper sells a beautiful metallic luster paper if you have access to a photo inkjet printer.

Adaroma has a wonderful metallic paper and it's actually processed like photo paper as it goes thru several chemical baths, has a Pearl finish to it. It's call Kodak Metallica

I agree. I tried Adorama on a lark because they had a special and chose the Metallica paper. The prints came out great. Give that a try.

I just re-did my entire portfolio using MPIX for 30 11x14s with metalic paper. They are the best - super service, outstanding color clarity, and the metalic pop that must be seen to be believed. I switch all of my client prints to MPIX and they rave about the service and quality of the packaging.

I use MPIX, create an account, upload to their website, www.mpix.com, order the size and type of paper, tell them to color correct or not, your choice, place order. I ordered 14 16x20 prints on a sunday afternoon and they were delivered to my door on thursday, always had excellent results from them. 13x19 or smaller I print myself on my Canon Pixma 9000. All types of paper including metallic is available from several vendors.

Are you speaking of "metallic paper" or "printing on metal"?

Adorama prints (or etches i guess) on metal also.
