Hi, I'm Stacy. I live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. I am somewhat new to photography. I have always had a camera and taken pictures, but after entering some photos in our local county fair (and taking Best in Show for the novice group) I am booking more and more "photo sessions".
I have a Nikon D40 and only know the basics of using it. I have Photoshop and know nothing about it. The thoughts of sitting and learning about Photoshop is not fun to me but I know I will eventually have to do it.
I love wildlife, nature and landscape photography. I have been doing a lot of family and child photography lately as well.
I disagree - you will not, do not need to learn to use any photo editing program; but I think you may well be amazed what you can do with them with only a basic inderstanding. Your focus seems very soft on #2 and 3. #1 - I like but we have a old saying on the railroad - "you don't know which way the trains run by looking at the rails." Thanks for sharing.
Welcome to the group...love the Shenandoah National Forest for photo hikes.
Welcome neighbor. I am east of you, we are so lucky to live in such a beautiful area.
Welcome to UHH. Keep shooting. Purchase a Tri or Mono pod. they sure helped me.
Looked down on the Shenandoah Valley many times when I was up on the Blue Ridge when I lived in Lynchburg for 6 years. Beautiful country.
Hi Stacy, welcome to the group. Very nice pictures.
