Carolina how do you get your shots so crystal clear and sharp, think yourself lucky you don't live near me, because I would be round to your house pestering you to show me how to do it. they are brilliant.
my wife say's you buy them stuffed and stick them on the branches
More of your awesome bird photos!! WONDERFUL!!!
Love those cardinals!!
Beautiful series! Loved to see the Blue Bird! I actually saw one for myself for the first time about two weeks ago! Beautiful bird!
Really nice set - I can't find any birds, other than black birds, to photograph - I think they all flew south to your area - send some back up here please, it isn't that cold!

These pictures are awesome. I think I am ready to graduate to a semi-pro lens and any help is welcome.
I believe the key is a good lens, so I ask, what is the lens that you used? I am hopefully not highjacking, just a description please. I have read a lot here about 300,400,500mm but sample pictures with description of lens are lacking.
I am myself in search of a good lens (~800-$1000) for bird photos. I have plenty of animals around, from anhingas and herons, to turtles and alligators but not the right lens. Only a 55-250.

I generally use my Canon 70-300mm lens...however it's not working right now...so I've been using my Pentax Kx camera and my DA 55-300mm lens. I oftentimes take bird photos with my Canon Sx 40 which is a bridge camera...and my old Sony point and shoot.
Excellent series! Love the cardinals, and have yet to ever see a bluebird at our own feeders.

Thank you Treepusher...Bluebirds don't come to feeders...however water will bring them into your yard. They also will sometimes visit Suet feeders when it's very cold.
