Use to think these guys were cute, not any more. I'll have to find props to get my subjects up off the ground. Still no ring in the mail for the 60mm

She is not ugly; just mis-understood. But I agree that she (small pedipalps) is more appreciated when viewed from a distance.

Do you have any foot-to-foot captures?

Yes a little more but out of focus, very shallow DOF. To much magnification. I'm waiting on a ring for the 60mm to reverse to the 100mm and also waiting for the lens reverse adapter to camera, vendor sent the wrong one. The 35mm reversed onto the 100mm is a little much. You have a very small window with reverse. Not like you can stand back and zoom in. You get focus and that's where you are at. I can pull the 100mm back to infinity and get a bigger photo/more of the insect, but then you get vignette from your 100mm looking out the 35mm

Yes, I have a 28mm Sigma that I use for reverse mounting it works good but if I use it reversed on the Nikkor 105D lens I get vignetting but great mag.

I meant do you have a full body/full legs photo (foot-to-foot).

It won't focus that far back. It's to high of magnification to get the whole spider in the frame.

Hey roger if you focus you 105mm towards the 1:1 end of the focusing range then you lose the vignetting. You should also focus you 28mm until the inner glass is closes to the rear of the lens, just adjust it a few times and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I recommend that you always take a full view reference photo.

Then I would have to change lens. This was taken with the 35mm reversed onto the 100mm. This was just a high magnification photo I was posting
