"Chasseur" was the name of the original Baltimore
schooner that sailed to England during the War of 1812 and brashly told King George they were under blockade (by one ship). She then sank or captured a large number of British merchant ships and was hailed back home as "The Pride of Baltimore." Hence the name of the first and second Pride of Baltimore.

Though the present ship is called the Pride of Baltimore, this little Dory which resides on the Pride is named "Chasseur" after the original schooner.

Congratulations, Ginny! Wonderful image! Did you do the background too?

Yes I designed the dory and her background. Since we r all hedgehoggers I will tell you the background was originally people. They did nothing for the pix so...I altered them a bit. :). Thank you all for your wonderful comments

What a great piece of art you have created, fantastic!
Being a hardcore boater it realy hits home. And you are from Annapolis Md. how lucky you are. I was there in 1985 for the International Sail boat show and I loved it. Felt like I was finaly back at a long lost home.
Thanks for posting the photo,
Dan :D
