Monument on the snowy hill

These 3 shots were taken today, near by. Trying to get the hang of my camera :? It started snowing yesterday and it was a bit cold, but you have to suffer for your art.
This structure is called Penshaw Monument, built on Penshaw hill in 1844. It is a half size replica of the Temple of Hephaestus in Athens.
It was built for John George Lambton, first Earl of Durham and first Governor of Canada. Just thought I would throw in a bit of history. Especially for our Canadian members. C & C welcome, its the only way to learn ;) :thumbup: Pip
